This tutorial shows how to create simultaneous, parallel sets of application states in a JavaFX GUI application. You create these sets of application states by using the State Variable functionality in NetBeans IDE's JavaFX Composer. Before taking this tutorial, you should take the tutorial States of Applications in JavaFX Composer.

We are pleased to announce the results of the NetBeans IDE 6.9 Community Acceptance Survey that ended June 8th: 88% of 107 respondents agree that NetBeans IDE 6.9 Release Candidate is stable enough to be shipped! A few respondents pointed out several serious issues. We fixed three of the most critical ones, and aim to deliver the other fixes in an update release as soon as possible.
Overall, this is good news for NetBeans IDE 6.9 from the community, and we thank you for your very valuable feedback!

Fedora 13, the newest release of the free Red Hat-sponsored Linux distribution, includes NetBeans software.
The NetBeans Platform and the Java SE development module of NetBeans IDE 6.8 can be installed on Fedora 13 by clicking on the "NetBeans package" in Fedora's "Add/Remove Software" functionality. All other features/modules of NetBeans 6.8 are available from the NetBeans Update Centers.
